Search the manual
Type a few words and the parts of this manual that contain them show up as you type, with your words marked. It is a plain text search: it needs no account and nothing you type leaves your browser. Results start from the second letter.
A question in your own words? , the round button in the corner.
Asking Joker
Section titled “Asking Joker”For a question in your own words, open Joker, the round button in the bottom-right corner of every page of this manual. Write the question the way you would to a friend, in any language. You get a short answer in the language of your question, written only from this manual, with links to the parts of the manual it comes from. Ask a follow-up, such as “and on Fire TV?”, and Joker answers it with the earlier questions in mind. The conversation stays while you move between pages in the same browser tab; New chat starts over, and the X in the header or the Escape key closes it.
The thumbs under an answer tell us whether it helped. They are anonymous and only help us improve the manual. Talk to a person, under the question field and after an answer that did not find what you asked, opens a short form: your email address and a note. It sends them to us with the last messages of the conversation, and we reply by email. Please do not type passwords or card numbers into a question or a note.
In the app and the account panel
Section titled “In the app and the account panel”The app has Joker under Settings → Help, together with Search the manual. The account panel has the same round Joker button in the bottom-right corner of every page.
There Joker also sees your settings and can change one for you. Ask why the guide is empty, or to make the subtitles bigger, and it says what is set now and, when a setting would help, shows it under the answer, for example Guide time offset: None → +1 h. Nothing changes until you press Apply; Undo puts it back. Joker never changes a PIN, a purchase or your account. In the account panel Joker sees the settings of each of your devices: say which one, for example “on the living room TV”, and it asks when it cannot tell.
Joker can also hide or show categories and channels by how their names start or what they contain. Ask, for example, to hide every category starting with “AR |”. The app finds them itself and shows how many there are, in which playlist, for which profile and the first few names, and nothing changes until you press Apply; Undo shows them again. When more than 2,000 channels match, hide their categories instead. In the account panel this works for categories; channels are hidden in the app. Ask for a new profile, for example “a kids profile called Ola”, and Open starts the profile editor with the name and the kind filled in: you choose the picture, the playlists and the PIN there and save it yourself.
