Groups and your own order

Categories come from the provider. Groups are yours.

Making one

Hold a channel anywhere, the list, the guide, the home screen, and add it to a group. The first time, the option offers to create one.

Groups appear under My groups on the television rail, and in the category area of Live on the phone.

Ordering

Anything you can see in a list can be dragged:

• Channels inside a group, into any order you like.
• Categories, pinned to the top or dragged down.
• Groups themselves.

On a television the same thing is done with hold OK → move, then the arrows, then OK to save. The line at the bottom says so: ▲▼ move · OK save · Back cancel.

On Windows and the Mac you can drag with the mouse instead: press on a row, move it where you want it, and let go to save. Esc cancels. This works in Settings → Categories, Settings → My groups, Settings → Home, and on the channels of one of your groups. In TV Channels, Movies and Series the mouse does what the remote does: right-click a row for its options, choose Move, then the arrow keys and Enter.

Groups and several playlists

A group can hold channels from more than one playlist. It shows the members whose playlists are currently open, so ticking a second playlist in the switcher makes its members appear in the group they were already in.

Removing a playlist from the device removes its channels from your groups and deletes any group that is left empty, the group itself survives as long as something is still in it.

What syncs

Groups, their contents and their order follow your account, per profile. Two devices can both edit them; the merge is field by field rather than last-writer-wins, so a channel added on the phone and one added on the television both survive.

Favourites are not a group

Favourites are their own thing, one flat list per profile, with their own row on the home screen and their own entry in the Live folders. Use a group when you want several named lists; use favourites when you want one.
