Terms of Service — Media Deck

Last updated: July 17, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Media Deck mobile application ("the App"), operated by ZS Software ("we", "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Media Deck is

Media Deck is a media player only for Android and Android TV that connects to your own servers and network drives. The App:

We have no knowledge of, and no control over, the content available through the sources you add.

2. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

You agree not to use the App to access, store, or distribute content you are not authorized to use, or for any unlawful purpose. If you are unsure whether content is legal in your country, do not use it.

3. No responsibility for third-party content

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility or liability for any third-party content, media, or services accessed through the App, including their legality, availability, accuracy, or quality. Any dispute regarding such content is solely between you and the relevant third party.

4. Accounts

Media Deck is fully offline-first and does not require an account. Optionally, you may sign in with Google or Apple to sync your source configuration, favorites, watch history, and settings across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account, or by contacting us.

5. Subscriptions and payments

The App is available under a freemium model. The free tier lets you use a single source and the full player; the optional Media Deck Pro upgrade (an annual subscription and/or a one-time "lifetime" purchase) unlocks unlimited sources, SMB/WebDAV/Plex support, and sync.

6. Metadata and third-party services

For Jellyfin and Plex sources, posters and descriptions come directly from your server. For SMB/NAS and WebDAV sources, the App fetches metadata (posters, descriptions) from The Movie Database (TMDB) based on file names. The App also relies on other third-party services (Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Google/Apple billing). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular file, codec, or source will work.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App or any content accessed through it. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App or its cloud services if you breach these Terms or use the App unlawfully. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account as described above.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
