How to delete your account
An account in Media Deck (developer: Zbigniew Szepczyński Software) is optional — it is used solely to sync across devices. If you never signed in, there is no cloud account to delete; simply uninstalling the App removes all data from your device. If you want to delete an account, you have two options:
Option 1: Directly in the app (instant)
The fastest way — delete your account yourself in a few seconds:
- Open the app and go to Settings → Account
- Select Delete account
- Confirm the action
Your cloud data (Firestore) and authentication record are deleted immediately.
Option 2: Request by email
If you cannot sign in to the app, send an email to mistyksu@gmail.com with the following information:
- Subject: "Account deletion request – Media Deck"
- The email address associated with the account
- Confirmation that you understand the consequences of deleting the account
We will respond within 48 hours and process your request within 7 business days.
Data that will be deleted
After deleting your account, we will permanently delete the following data:
- Profile data – name, email address, user ID (Firebase)
- Source configuration – types, names, server and network-drive addresses stored in the cloud
- Favorites and watch history – saved items, resume position, history
- App preferences – synced settings
- Subscription data – subscription status and entitlements (data in RevenueCat)
Note: Your entire library catalog and your source credentials are stored only locally on your device (in encrypted system storage) and never reach the cloud – they are removed when you uninstall the app.
Data that may be retained
Some data may be retained for a limited time or remain in third-party systems:
- Crash reports (Sentry) – anonymous diagnostic data may be retained for up to 90 days for app-stability analysis
- Payment data – Google Play / Apple may retain transaction history in line with their own policies
Processing time
- In-app deletion: instant
- Deletion by email: up to 7 business days
- Propagation to third-party systems: up to 30 days
Consequences of deleting your account
- You will lose access to any purchased subscriptions
- Your source configuration, favorites, and history in the cloud will be permanently deleted
- Cross-device sync will stop working
- You will not be able to recover the account or associated data
- To use sync again, you will need to create a new account
