Privacy Policy of Face2Face AI Translator App

1. Introduction
The Face2Face AI Translator app ("App") respects the privacy of its users. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we process it, with whom we share it, and what rights you have in relation to it.
2. Collected Data
a) Audio Data
To enable voice translation, the App requests access to the microphone. Voice recordings are transmitted in encrypted form to Google Gemini API (provided by Google LLC) for speech-to-text processing and translation. We do not store your audio recordings on our servers after the translation session ends.
b) Login Data
If you log in via Google or Apple, we receive basic information about your profile (name, email address, user ID). This data is used solely for account personalization and subscription management.
c) Usage Data
We collect information about the number of translation minutes used to manage free limits and subscriptions.
d) Technical and Diagnostic Data
We use Sentry for error reporting (crash reports) and Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users use the app and improve its stability. This data is anonymized.
3. Data Sharing with AI Service (Google Gemini)
The App uses a third-party artificial intelligence service to provide translation functionality. Below we describe in detail what data is shared, with whom, and for what purpose:
What data is sent:
- Voice recordings (audio data) from translation sessions
- Text recognized from speech for translation into the target language
- Source and target languages selected by the user
Who the data is sent to:
Data is sent to Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) through the Google Gemini API service.
Purpose:
- Speech-to-text processing (speech recognition)
- Translation of text into the selected target language
- Generation of voice response in the target language
User consent:
Before the first use of the AI translation feature, the App displays an information screen requesting consent to process data through Google Gemini API. Use of the translation feature is only possible after the user grants consent. The user may withdraw consent at any time by deleting their account in the app.
Data protection by Google:
Google LLC provides personal data protection in accordance with its privacy policy available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Data sent to Google Gemini API through the paid API is not used by Google to train AI models. Audio data is processed in real time and is not retained by Google after processing is complete.
4. Other Third-Party Services
In addition to Google Gemini API, your data may be processed by the following entities:

Each of the above providers ensures personal data protection at a level no lower than described in this Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
- Audio data: Deleted immediately after processing by Google Gemini API. Not stored on our servers or by Google.
- Account data: Stored until the user deletes their account.
- Error reports (Sentry): Stored for up to 90 days.
- Analytics data (Firebase): In accordance with Google's data retention policy.
6. Permissions
The App requires access to:
- Microphone: Necessary for recording speech for translation.
- Internet: Necessary for communication with AI servers.
7. User Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct your data
- Request account deletion along with all data
- Withdraw consent for data processing by the AI service
